I love pretty much all Comics, TV, Movies, Books, and Video Games. I love it more when the awesome people of the internet combine them into other awesome stuff. Let your imagination run wild.

Superman and Fiona by Shelli Paroline [ Dig Boston Variant Cover ]
(via THIS WEEK’S COVER | DigBoston)

I’m returning to my old hometown for Boston Comic Con this weekend! Almost didn’t go because it’s so soon after San Diego but I couldn’t stay away. I’d been going to this show since I was in college and it was more of a vendors’ show with a handful of guests held twice a year in the basement of an events center, and it was so fun to watch it grow every year since. When I learned I was moving to DC, (though I love the Capital) it was a source of small comfort to think I’d be able to go one last time as an actual local. When it was postponed after the most bewildering week in recent Boston history (probably not since learning 3 of the 4 planes in the 9/11 attacks left from Logan—and losing dozens of its citizens on them—has Boston as a city been so shaken) it was an additional jarring on top of everything else. But with enough internal compulsion and external wheedling, I decided to make the trip, spend a little more money, and take part in one of my favorite traditions.
Some awesome ladies are going to be there if you can make it— Colleen Doran, Amy Reeder, Ming Doyle, Shelli Paroline, Agnes Garbowska, Chrissie Zullo, Sara Richard, Maris Wicks, Erica Henderson, and Emmy Cicierega to name but a few. Hope you can make it!
